Important Announcements
AP Section members are required to renewal their credential status from 2012, this requirement has been informed to all AP Section members on 2008 by e-mails and letters. Please contact your local ICOI office or contact ICOI AP Section Head office at office@icoi-ap.org directly for your CE credits. The renewal requirements are as follow:
Diplomate's Maintenance Requirements
1. All ICOI Diplomates must maintain their membership in good standing and must attend at least two (2) ICOI/IPS sponsored or ICOI AP Section Congress every five (5) years.
2. All ICOI Diplomates must also accumulate one hundred fifty (150) hours of “implant education” within five (5) years of becoming an ICOI Diplomate.
* 150 CE Hours must be ICOI credit
* Published implant articles in recognized journals. Each article and/or case report published in an ICOI publication, Implant Dentistry and/or the International Magazine of Oral Implantology, will be credited 20 hours of CE. Each implant published article in a recognized journal will be credited 10 hours of CE.
3. All ICOI Diplomats must give at least two(2) Oral Presentation or Poster Presentations in ICOI meetings, and the same requirement for every five years’ ICOI Diplomate Renewal.
Fellowship's maintenance requirements:
1. All ICOI Fellows must maintain their membership in good standing (pay membership due on time)
2. All ICOI Fellows must attend at least one ICOI/IPS sponsored or ICOI AP Section Congress within five (5) years after becoming an ICOI Fellow, and same requirement for every five years’ Fellowship renewal.
3. All ICOI Fellows must also accumulate seventy-five (75) hours of "implant education" within five (5) years after becoming an ICOI Fellow, and same requirement for every five years’ Fellowship Renewal. (ICOI CE Credits 50 hours required)
4. All ICOI Fellows must give at least one Oral presentation or poster presentation in ICOI meetings within five (5) years after becoming an ICOI Fellow, and the same requirement for every five years’ Fellowship Renewal.
Mastership's Maintenance Requirements
1. All IPS Masters must maintain their membership in good standing (pay membership due on time),
2. ALL IPS Masters must attend at least one ICOI/IPS sponsored or ICOI AP Section Congress every five (5) years.
3. All IPS Masters must also accumulate one hundred (100) hours or more of "implant education" within five (5) years after becoming an IPS Master. (ICOI CE Credits 70 hours required)
4. All IPS Master must give at least one table clinic presentations and one poster presentation in ICOI meetings every five years to maintain the Mastership.
